Dan Whiting is the creator of popular cricket blog, The Middle Stump and is the chairman of Southgate Adelaide CC in North London. Writing in a satirical way about the game, he has been described as, 'The Master of Metaphorical Mirth'. Having played for over thirty years, he is now a qualified ECB ACO umpire. A supporter of the charity Melanoma UK, he has taken his stage show, Pushing the Boundaries around the UK interviewing many cricketers. He is also a regular contributor to The Cricket Paper. The Definitive Guide to Club Cricket is his third book following on from the success of Cricket Banter and Characters of Cricket. He resides in North London.
