Born in 1989, she first fell in love with writing in primary school with her childhood best friend during sleepovers that turned into elaborate storytelling under blanket covers in secret notebooks. This came slowly and with great difficulty, years of speech therapy and occupational therapy and terrible spelling abilities almost scared her from working closely with words, but in the end, the beauty of words overpowered all other challenges. In 2016 Gerriety decided to both publish the first book in her fantasy EON Series, Crimson Skies, as well as start Sera Blue Publishing when she discovered how hard it was for South African's to get published. She has since written a short story from the EON universe Taipan in an anthology collection titled ""Ethereal"" and the second book in the EON Seies titled ""Into the Dark"" in 2018.
