Overview

Kobee is a master ninja...or so he thought. How could his sister, Kai, be better at leaping, spinning, and balancing than him? She's just a ballet dancer and doesn't even know how to do a roundhouse kick. Kobee becomes very frustrated because nothing he tries is working. Follow Kobee as he does something out of his comfort zone and takes a dance class to perfect his ninja skills.

Author Information

Chris George is passionate about diversity, inclusion, and equity for youth in education, arts, entertainment, and life experiences. She is the daughter of a proud, southern African American military soldier from Tennessee and a strong, driven mother from Seoul Korea. She is the mother of two beautiful dancing daughters and a dancing, Tae Kwon Do studying, Boy Scout. Culture and arts have been ingrained in Chris since an early age and passed down to her children. Realizing that there were limited books with characters that looked like her children and grandchildren, she felt compelled to write stories that represent diversity and culture in children's books. As a lover of the arts and dance mom for many years, she shares stories from her experiences with her children with the intention to create stories that bring more variety, joy, and magic into people's lives.
