Reviews

"""Easy to read and such a lovely storyline. Loved the links to the school curriculum and how easy it is to implement in the classroom."" Lauren Jan - Teacher Palmwoods State School ""This book does a wonderful job of helping parents teach their kids about stepping out of their comfort zones and being themselves. It opens up important conversations around being unique and finding friends that love you for who you are."" Kylie Duffy - Midwife ""What a wonderful colourful children's book delivering an important message about empowerment!"" Katrine Smillie - Mother ""A fun book to read. The children loved hearing about Macca meeting his new friends and dancing his way into a new life. It leaves you with warm fuzzies."" Jenna Foley - Mother"

Author Information

Sally Waghorn is a full-time working Mum and full-time animal lover with years of experience volunteering her time at various rescue centres and animal sanctuaries across Australia. Cleaning up wombat poo, deboning squid for turtles and building fencing for wallabies are all jobs she cherished for many years before becoming a mother. After watching the 'Birds of Paradise' project by Cornell University on YouTube over ten years ago, an idea was born. This developed into a book which Sally dreams one day will be turned into a children's movie full of singing and dancing.
