Author Information

Brennan Whitley, Psy.D. is a psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological assessment with children, teens, and adults. She has an assessment practice in Sacramento, California (www.spring-psychology.com). One of her specialties is identifying and making educational plans for individuals who have dyscalculia. She was inspired to write this story after being unable to find a book to recommend to her clients. Brennan also has dyscalculia herself and understands first-hand both the challenges and strengths that come with this learning profile. Lisa Hamel, Ed.S.M is an illustrator and Education Specialist who works with children with learning disabilities. Her work is aimed at bettering inclusion within education and this project allows her to use her passion for art to reach more students, families, and educators. Lisa lives in Fresno, California and tries to spend as much time as possible outdoors.
