JAY SOKOLOVSKY is Professor of Anthropology at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg. Dr. Sokolovsky is an internationally known scholar specializing in cross-cultural, comparative gerontology and has edited Growing Old in Different Societies (1983) and coauthored Old Men of the Bowery (1989).
