Reading this book, I could really relate to the struggles that Claire faced; the deep and compelling call from the spirit world commingled with the world around her which sees it as imaginary at best, or her, as crazy at worst. Even her own questioning of her abilities and sanity, at times, is the difficult struggle of a medium who has to live in two different worlds at the same time. Deciding between listening to the heart or the head may seem simple to some, but to Claire and those of us like her, it is a constant balancing act in this world of modernity. I appreciate the space that this story has given to explore that challenging (and not just the cool ) aspect of that life. Claire faces it all with courage and conviction.
