Author Information

Stanislaw Feld was born on 11/11/1911 in Przmsyl, Poland. His family immigrated to Austria when he was a child. He was told this story when he was growing up. Stan was a voracious reader. He spoke several languages. He loved to discuss politics, philosophy, religion and write. This story was told to his wife Anita about 20 years ago. He wrote a sketchy story about croissants on a napkin. This story was in a drawer for a long time. When his first great grandchild was born, Anita(his wife) decided to formalize this story in the oral tradition with hopes to pass it on to future generations. The book's illustrations can be easily followed by a non-reader, a grandparent can read this book to a grandchild. A middle school child can read this book and lastly, this book was meant to be read and enjoyed while eating croissants. Bon Apetit!
