""I want you to help me find out who murdered my grandmother."" Welsh Canadian criminologist Cait Morgan is invited to be a guest lecturer at a Budapest university, but her retired-cop husband Bud Anderson must stay at home to care for his aging parents, so she reluctantly makes the month-long trip on her own. Soon after arriving, one of her new students pleads with Cait to help her uncover clues about her grandmother's unsolved murder, which happened decades earlier on the campus of Cait's own home university in Canada. Cait agrees, but when she's hassled by a creepy colleague, and discovers bizarre and troubling details about the student's family members, Cait is beset by uncertainty. As she gets closer to the truth, Cait's investigation puts the powers-that-be on high alert, and her instincts tell her she's in grave danger. Bud races to Budapest to come to Cait's side, but will he be too late? Ace's Cait Morgan Mysteries feature a globetrotting Welsh Canadian criminal psychologist who solves traditional whodunits alongside her retired-cop husband, Bud Anderson (Eve Myles will portray Cait in the TV production by Free@LastTV). Her WISE Enquiries Agency Mysteries feature four softly poached female PIs solving cosy cases from a Welsh stately home. Shortlisted for Canada's Bony Blithe Award three times, winning once, Cathy's also won IPPY and IBA Awards, as well as the CrimeFictionLover Editor's Choice Award for Best Indie Novel. She's been shortlisted for Crime Writers of Canada Awards three times, and for the prestigious CrimeFest Last Laugh Award. She migrated from Wales aged 40, and now lives in Canada.
