Bernard R. Pilgrim was born in Barbados, the land of blue seas, white sand, rum, and calypso. During his early years, he attended a religious school and became interested in questioning religious beliefs and social issues. Bernard was a gifted musician, singer, songwriter, and choir director who performed in various local and international festivals. He later moved to New York City, opening a recording studio and running his private contracting business for several years. Despite his diverse experiences, he never anticipated that his skills in composing music, writing song lyrics, and creating corporate documents would lead him to literary work. However, his keen observations of romantic relationships and numerous conversations with family, friends, and acquaintances have given him unique insights into the complexities of modern relationships. These insights inspired his first book, The Consequence of Choice: My Inside Voice.
