Cormac Russell is managing director of Nurture Development and a faculty member and European director of the Asset-Based Community Development Institute at DePaul University, Chicago. He is also codirector of the new Community Renewal Centre. He is a popular international keynote speaker and is also the author of Rekindling Democracy. John McKnight is cofounder of the Asset-Based Community Development Institute and a senior associate of the Kettering Foundation. He cofounded the Health & Medicine Policy Research Group with Dr. Quentin Young, cofounded the Gamaliel Foundation with Greg Galluzzo, and was a founding board member of National People's Action led by Gale Cincotta. John McKnight is emeritus professor of education and social policy and co-director of the Asset-Based Community Development Institute at Northwestern University. He is the coauthor of Building Communities from the Inside Out and the author of The Careless Society. He has been a community organizer and serves on the boards of several national organizations that support neighborhood development. Parker J. Palmer holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a founder and senior partner of the Center for Courage and Renewal, senior associate of the American Association for Higher Education, and senior advisor to the Fetzer Institute. In 1998, he was named one of the thirty most influential senior leaders in higher education. He is the author of numerous books, including the bestsellers Let Your Life Speak and A Hidden Wholeness. Janina Edwards, an Earphone Award-winning narrator, is a graduate of the acting program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
