Author Information

Ed Ford is an author of historical fiction and has written seven books, two plays and a number of articles about the U.S. Civil War. The Confederate Gateway details the beginning of the war in Paducah, Kentucky, and an insight into the Union atrocities and profiteering that occurred. Prior to his career as a novelist, Ford was an award-winning corporate editor and public relations specialist with Ford Motor and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Companies and was a newspaper and magazine reporter and editor. The University of Kentucky journalism graduate operates his own public relations firm in Richmond, Kentucky, and has served as public relations director for Berea College.
