Fred Hams is a founder member of the Rare Poultry Society. As a convervationist, Fred has helped to save and maintain several endangered breeds. In 1976, Fred qualified as a poultry judge, then climbed up the rankings to become a panel A judge. Since 2004 he has served as a consultant to the best-selling Practical Poultry magaine.
