"""There has been a lot written about teacher identity, but Reimagining Teacher Identity Researchby veteran literacy scholars Thomas Crumpler and Lara Handsfield is a game changer. It provides a fine-grained analysis of teaching and learning that does not shy away addressing power dynamics and social reproduction. At the same time, it points toward the possibilities of genuine teacher agency and social transformation through drama and the critical imagination. A much-needed study in this period of mechanistic and decontextualized pedagogical practices."" --Gerald Campano, Ph.D. Professor Chair, Literacy, Culture, and International Education (LCIE) Division Graduate School of Education University of Pennsylvania Co-Editor, Research in the Teaching of English Co-Convenor, Ethnography in Education Research Forum"
