This firm was selected as the Best Law Firm by The Commercial Appeal. Larry is certified as a Family Law Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and certified as a Family Law Specialist by the Tennessee Board of Specialization. He has earned the distinction of being named a Mid-South Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers every year since 2008 and has been rated a Superb Attorney by Avvo every year since 2011, with a score of 10 out of a possible 10. Larry received the Top 10 Attorney Award for Tennessee from the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. He also received the Client Satisfaction Award from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys and was recognized as The Face of Divorce Law, with his son Nick, by Memphis Magazine. Nick Rice, known formally as George Lawrence Rice, IV, is a third generation attorney following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father.Mr. Rice first started studying the law when he began working for the firm in seventh grade. He graduated Christian Brothers High School where he served 4 years on Honor Council. Mr. Rice graduated from The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2000. He returned to Memphis to attend law school and continued working at the firm. Mr. Rice received his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2003. Because of his extensive training, he practiced law immediately after passing the bar. Following in his father's footsteps, he has also presented Continuing Legal Education lectures. He is widely considered to be the best young divorce lawyer. In 2001 Mr. Rice, with the help of two friends, founded a yearly charitable fund raiser.
