Author Information

Paul A. Opler is an internationally known butterfly and moth expert, author, lecturer, and conservationist. He spent four years as a post-doctoral research biologist in Costa Rica, and twenty-three years with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He has authored more than 150 publications, including Moths of Western North America, A Field Guide to Western Butterflies, and A Field Guide to Eastern Butterflies.
