The Complete Book of Coronary Artery Disease: Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and Management

Overview

The Complete Book of Coronary Artery Disease: Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, and Management covers various essential aspects related to the anatomy, embryology, anomalies, physiology, pathology, imaging, and disease management of the coronary system. The book highlights both invasive and non-invasive imaging techniques, with a focus on coronary CTA and CT-guided PCI. Intravascular imaging methods such as IVUS and OCT are elaborated on in assessing coronary health, along with a section on coronary anomalies and their incidence, diagnosis, and clinical implications. Meanwhile, information on coronary physiology explores non-pathological functions and adaptations to stressors. Coronary ischemia assessment using physiological parameters and unresolved questions regarding symptoms are also fundamental to this volume. Further, this book details coronary atherosclerosis, including pathological processes and treatment options. A non-atherosclerotic coronary anatomy section addresses pathologies impacting coronary arteries in other ways. For professionals seeking consolidated information on an oft-overlooked topic, they need look no further than this book.
