David Almond is known worldwide for his novels for young people, including Skellig, Kit's Wilderness, Heaven Eyes, The Fire-Eaters, and My Name Is Mina. He is the winner of a Carnegie Medal, a Michael L. Printz Award, and a Hans Christian Andersen Award. David Almond lives in Northumberland, England. Born in the North of England, Richard Halverson was dancing and acting from the age of four. His Father was a Drama teacher and he was very quickly engrossed in performing, including acting, ballet, tap, magic, and singing with a rock band. Richard Halverson moved to Los Angeles in 2011 to pursue acting in TV and film.
