The Code of Survival Book One Arizona: A LitRPG Apocalypse Adventure Series

Overview

Lee and Jak's world is about to change. Strange things are happening - street lights not working, computers acting strange, cellphone randomly displaying timers... Then at noon, it happened. A strange message appeared in the air in front of them. System Initiation Complete. Welcome to the Multiverse! Your planet has now been integrated into the system. Please review your status screen and familiarize yourself. If your health drops to zero you die. Good luck! Then came the monsters... How will Lee and Jak survive in this new world? What is the strange light surrounding the Gilbert Water Tower? Are their friends and family alive? The duo must get stronger, learn how the system works by capitalizing on their rare classes and skills to become OP, save Gilbert, and then find a way (without technology) to travel to far off Albuquerque to rescue Lee's daughter and Jak's sister Marie. Magic in this LitRPG world is real now, so maybe that will help...

Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazon failure, SUPERB STORY!The 'zon really let me down. Why didn't it recommend this book/series/author to me before today?! Excellent characters, settings, and storytelling. Starting book 2 in 10 seconds... 5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and entertainingI really enjoyed this book. The pacing was quick but not rushed. The characters, especially the main trio, were quite entertaining and fun to read. I enjoyed the various dungeons and other action sequences. It kept engrossed in the narrative. I really appreciated and found interesting the inclusion of intelligent non human being originally from Earth and the inclusion of native American culture and history. I hope for more of these. 5.0 out of 5 stars Really enjoyed Mr. Eckert's take on the System! I've already purchased #2!Well constructed story, interesting 2 MCs (father and son), unusual monsters, and great use of Southwestern United States folklore and myths! Can't wait to start book 2. 5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Intro to a New SeriesEntertaining story jumping straight into things. The main characters are interesting. I especially liked the father son discussions on the reality of their new world and what needs done. A couple of things feel like they came out of nowhere but overall there was a good pace and progression. It'll be nice to see more family dynamics and character progression from everyone going into the next books. I can't wait to start on the next one.

Author Information

I was born in California but moved around growing up as a military brat. I joined the Navy at seventeen to learn electronics. My first ship was the Battleship New Jersey (BB-62). On my second ship, The USS Prairie (AD-15) I was deployed to the Persian Gulf for what was later called The First Gulf War. After that experience, I was assigned ""shore duty"" in San Diego. While working part-time at Domino's Pizza as a delivery driver to make extra money I was hit by a drunk driver, which ended my naval career. Don't fret though, if you keep a positive attitude things have a way of working out. I got an awesome job at Intel Corporation and moved up to the Bay area. Fast forward fifteen years and me, my ex-wife, and our kids moved to Arizona, where I worked several jobs including teaching computer certifications. Currently I am a Senior Network Engineer and enjoy my job. Recently I felt the need to fulfill a dream I've always had of writing, and, well, here we are!
