Overview

Genesis 37 tells the beginning of the story of Joseph, the beloved son of Jacob. Jacob gives Joseph a coat of many colors, which causes great jealousy among his brothers. Joseph shares two dreams that show his family bowing down to him, increasing their resentment. One day, Jacob sends Joseph to check on his brothers in the fields. When they see him coming, they plot against him. At first they plan to kill him, but instead they throw him into a pit. Later, they sell him to a group of merchants traveling to Egypt. To cover their betrayal, the brothers dip Joseph's coat in goat's blood and bring it to their father, who believes his son has been killed by a wild beast. Meanwhile, Joseph is taken away to Egypt, beginning a journey that will be used by God for great purpose. This book presents the complete thirty-seventh chapter of Genesis, based on the King James Version, turned into rhyming verses called the Kid Friendly Version, creating Scripture Books for Kids. Each numbered KJV verse is followed by an 8-line rhyme that stays true to the original wording and meaning. Every verse is fully illustrated with detailed, high-quality artwork that visually brings the passage to life. This book provides a faithful, verse-by-verse adaptation, combining the power of scripture with engaging rhymes and illustrations to help children understand and connect with God's Word.
