Author Information

Born in 1972 in Perth, Western Australia, Matthew Edmond grew up mostly in the city, but for many years spent summer breaks on his family's friend's farm in a South West town called Ongerup. Living and working on the farm provided numerous opportunities to see a side of life that left valuable memories that helped shape certain values, such as gratitude, resourcefulness and a wonder and appreciation for nature and humanity. Always creative and curious, finding computers and the Internet gave Matthew a natural avenue for exploration and expression. Having spent the last 17 years living in Japan, Matthew has been working in IT, particularly Cloud-related roles and has worked with some of the best companies and technologies and has accrued a solid, all-round understanding of what the Cloud is and what it can mean to people. Matthew will continue to expand upon this guidebook, the partner network of great companies and technologies and enhance the various tools to help lead the cloud into the future.
