Overview

The purpose of this study is to prove that Dan. 8: 14 deals with the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary. The study takes into consideration that the annual cleansing of the ancient earthly sanctuary relates to the proposed cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary. The proposal takes into consideration that the sanctuary mentioned in Daniel 8: 14 is that which is found in heaven. The Old Testament cleansing of the earthly sanctuary when compared with the sacrifice of Christ is imperfect as it relates to the spiritual life of the religious community, but the eschatological cleansing brings about a full cleansing of the saved community in a new world; therefore, what transpires will be on a cosmic scale.
