Author Information

Clare Beghtol (Ph.D., M.L.S., University of Toronto; B.A., University of Chicago) is Assistant Professor, Faculty of Library and Information Science, at the University of Toronto, Canada, and specializes in access systems, both verbal and classificatory. She has been Chief Cataloguer and Indexer for the Canadian Broadcast System nightly news program The Journal, Director of Research, Ketchum Canada, Inc., and has written numerous articles on subject analysis and classification.
