The Clash was formed at the dawn of punk, and soon become the most representative and versatile rock band of its time. Their fervent apology for miscegenation was due to their early rock hybridization with reggae, one of their most distinctive elective affinities along with dub, funk, and hip hop; hodgepodge thanks to which they became the greatest band of all time.
