Dr. Coppenbarger received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Wisconsin. He has a Master of Music Performance degree from the Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he studied with his father, Dr. Roger Coppenbarger. Roger Coppenbarger is Professor Emeritus from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he taught single reeds for over thirty years. Dr. Roger Coppenbarger holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and a Master of Music degree from the University of Wichita.
