Author Information

Elizabeth Ashworth lives in Lancashire in the UK and writes historical fiction inspired by her interest in local history. Her first novel, The de Lacy Inheritance, was written after she researched a local legend about a hermit who lived in a cave under Clitheroe Castle. Her second novel about the de Lacy family, Favoured Beyond Fortune, begins the story of Alicia de Lacy, which continues in The Circle of Fortune. Other novels include An Honourable Estate, based on the legend of Mab's Cross, and By Loyalty Bound, which tells the story of the mistress of Richard III.
