With all of the technical jargon, it is sometimes jarring when the text uses simple vocabulary, such as ...they made a plan.... Each page is loaded with photos of training, equipment, and weapons; various fonts; fact boxes in assorted colors; and maps. Unfamiliar terms are printed in red and defined in a box at the bottom of the page and in a glossary. Measurements are given in both standard and metric. Just like the few individuals who try to become a member of a special-operations unit and succeed, this series passes the tests.-- School Library Journal
