John J. Lynch is an Episcopal (Anglican) priest, teacher, author, and translator. Born in North Carolina, he graduated from Wake Forest University, and then served seven years as an Episcopal missionary in Honduras, teaching at a bilingual school and the diocesan seminary. He pursued theological studies at the Catholic University of Honduras and subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Apologetics and Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary. Currently, he serves as rector of Christ the King Episcopal Church (Charles Parish) in Tabb, Virginia. Father Lynch is best known for his Spanish-language theological texts and affordable editions of important texts of the Oxford Movement in the Church of England. More recently, he has published The Creeds: A Study for Individuals and Groups, The Church Catechism with Notes, and Our Daily Prayers: Devotions Drawn from the Historic Book of Common Prayer and Other Traditional Anglican Sources. He enjoys reading, learning languages, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
