OverviewThis is a story of a boy with humble beginnings that are enshrined in a background of poverty. Kago and his brother Thabang are abandoned by their mother at a tender age and each of them has to forge a life of hardships to keep going. Family wars, abuse, gender inequalities, HIV and AIDS and identity battles build the plot of this fictitious narrative to reveal how a mother's love can build or break a child. When Kago falls in love with a childhood friend, he begins to discover the true meaning of conflicting loyalties. He is entangled in the fast lane of Gaborone (capital city of Botswana, Africa) life that quickly buries the lessons he learnt from his Zimbabwean family and his beloved great-grandmother. Kago must go through the worst before he could begin to understand who he is.
