"This present work on the Baay Faal of Senegal written by a Baay Faal is the expression of a spirituality coming from the interior well defined by Sheikh Mountakha Mbacke, ""To know Sheikh Ahmadu Bamba, it is imperative to engage in the path of God. However, whatever we say, the one who turns his back on this world of illusion is the one who knows Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba best."" Whatever one says, the Baay Faal is the humble disciple who follows the recommendations of his spiritual guide, who abstains from divine proscriptions, and who sees nothing else outside his guide, in the same way, as Sheikh Ibrahima Faal had behaved towards Sheikh Ahmadu Bamba. It is for this purpose that Seriñ Sheikh Faal Baayub Goor said, ""No one serves a better saint than the one whom the Baay Faals serve. No one does what is nobler than what the Baay Faals do. No one is more worthy than the Baay Faals.""
