Overview

The Cat, The Fiddle and Me is a children's song for people of all ages. It's about the fantastic voyage of three imaginary friends, a feline, a fiddle and a child. It's a magical journey to ""places that no one has seen."" Think of as ""Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds"" meets ""Rainbow Connection"" This charming and enchanting story set to a lyrical song brings alive The Cat, The Fiddle and Me. Arranged to a sweetly poetic song, these three unlikely friends visit mystical lands and meet mythical characters including a musical walrus and a gentle giant's ""friendly pet lion who loves macaroni and cheese."" It's a whimsical fairy tale that appeals to children and adults alike. Beautiful and fanciful illustrations bring the story alive which capture the color and detail of the illustrations. Singer, songwriter and entertainer, Larry Keen, has spent a lifetime playing his special blend of folk, rock and country music from New York to LA and everywhere in between. The musical and lyrical writing team of RJ, Cino and Keener are delighted to bring you this magical journey. Dazzling Art & Illustrations by Colleen Taylor, Taylor Art and Designs

Author Information

Larry Keen is a singer-songwriter-musician who has been attracting enthusiastic audiences throughout North America since the 1970s. A native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Larry was a star on the legendary New York Coffee House Circuit, sharing the spotlight with the likes of Don McLean, Jim Croce and Linda Ronstadt. He was a featured act at many of Los Angeles' music meccas such as The Troubadour, Bla-Bla Café and Sagebrush Cantina. Now living in the Phoenix area, Larry delights audiences with a wide range of folk, blues, country and rock tunes. His powerful vocals, nimble guitar and infectious stage presence have made him one of the region's most popular entertainers. Jim Copacino is an award-winning advertising copywriter who is Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Copacino+Fujikado in Seattle, Washington. Jim and Larry Keen met as undergraduates at Ohio University in 1969. Their friendship soon blossomed into a songwriting partnership that has spanned five decades. As a lyricist, Jim has collaborated with Larry and Richard Pollack on dozens of songs spanning all genres--rock, folk, country and traditional ballads. ""The Cat, The Fiddle and Me"" is their first foray into children's music--though the song is intended for kids from age 3 to 93. Taylor is an internationally renowned professional mixed media artist and children's book illustrator. Taylor has collaborated with a number of professional musicians to create the illustrations for her second self published children's song book, another hardcover, ""It's A Rainforest."" Her first published wildly successful children's book, ""The Cat, The Fiddle and Me"" is another hardcover book that is currently for sale and is self published by Taylor.
