The Cast of Extremes: Jesus and the Devil

Overview

Man is faced with two potentials in which he can build his existence, the upward ascension or the downward descension. The complexity in these differences surround man in two ways: to abandon what cannot be seen (the spiritual and intangible) and aspire for what can be seen (the material and tangible). The work of the spiritual must be developed, it is ongoing which means it does not set itself to exist and at any moment, at one's discretion abandon to replace having received it. Man has been separated from the nature of the birds and the beasts with a mind and a heart which makes the body quite indispensable for the purpose of leading us upward to learning more about God. The explanation of who God is, cannot be said fully in a short period of time, it is a life time process but what we can say, the inner voice that lives in the body is his, that guides us. The other potential of man lies in his individualism without the framework of moral order or standard ethical principles. This type of freedom puts his interests first, above all else, and above the natures of righteousness and principle. Training is necessary, people must know what is right before they can do it, the world is unable to educate with the correct knowledge, especially in the light of its chaos and confusion. Even the best and the brightest amongst us will find themselves at a loss in choosing right from wrong when deception burrows in, to leave a blurred vision which disables right choices. Jesus had come to teach us the Way, he has inspired us with the Truth and triumphed in bringing forth new Life, a space for God, to be the central part of our existence.
