Author Information

Juan Cruz Ruiz was born and raised on the Canary Islands. He is a journalist and co-founder and editor of El País, for whom he was a London correspondent. In 2012, he was awarded the prestigious National Award for Cultural Journalism from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. He is also the recipient of the 2000 Canary Islands Prize for Literature.
