Take one wealthy multi-millionaire who wants to develop the local football ground that is home to Basingstoke Town Football Club. A 100-year-covenant on the land placed by Lord Camrose in 1953. A passionate group of club supporters who are not prepared to stand by and watch their beloved Basingstoke Football Club get ruined. Rafi Razzak was initially a trusted sponsor of Basingstoke FC, so when the club had financial problems in 2001, they turned to him for advice. He set up a limited company, offered shares and quickly became the major shareholder, giving him control of the club. The venture soon failed. In 2006, he set up a development company called Basron. His goal was to sell the Camrose Ground. Over the years he has tried twice, unsuccessfully, to get planning permission from the local council. And everyone's had enough. This is the story of what has happened so far, warts-and-all.
