I have taught school for forty-seven years and even substituted in high school and taught teachers how to teach history in junior college. I am also a devouted follower of historical accuracy. I have even published a book entitled The Story of Our Country, in 2011. When I discovered that the history of the last great, world conqueror, before the advent of artillery, Amir Timur (Tamerlane), was still without accurate maps as to the routes of his conquests, I decided to try and master this problem. Working over the task I also found that there was a lot of information about Amir Timur, but the location of many of the sites on his campaigns were not adaquately covered. Then attaining a copy of the English version of The History of Timur-Bec, Known by the Name of Tamberlain the Great, . . . by Sherif ad-Din of Yezd, I hoped to prepare the most detailed account ever written on the campaign routes of Amir Timur, because Sherif ad-Din was considered by many to be the best source on the conqueror. And even though it took years to research and verify the sitings, with other sources, like H, H. Howorth, and E. Bretschneider, my maps, and 700+ foot notes will bear witness to the task, as will my thirty page index on the people and places of that time. To every historical revisionist on the history of Central Asia, this is a dream come true. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
