Overview

This reprint, originally published in 1915, was authored by Col. G. J. Fiebeger, Professor of Engineering at the United States Military Academy for the use of its cadets. Col. Fiebeger uses quotes from the planners of the campaign and from a broad segment of its leading participants to explain, in detail, how this historic event unfolded. Quotes used are seamlessly connected chronologically, using both sides' perspectives, to provide an appreciation of why decisions were made with the knowledge at hand. This reprint includes new artwork, maps, and charts to enhance the original edition and makes an important addition to the bookshelves of Gettysburg enthusiasts.
