OverviewToday, in 2008, Russia has 14 cities that are home to a million or more people. This fact alone is testimony to the extent to which Russia is both a major player in the world's economy and little understood. In just a few years, Russia has gone from being a world power in the making, to an undisputed key player on the global scene. As one of the four BRIC emerging markets, Russia's importance for world business cannot be overlooked any longer. AUTHOR: Chris Gilbert - Chris Gilbert is a business development specialist with extensive experience of working with Russia and the Former Soviet Union. He first travelled to Moscow as a student in the early 1990s, spending a year in Russia's capital just as the country was beginning its transition to a free market economy. Since that time, he has worked with a range of companies operating on the Russian market, and was director of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce in St. Petersburg from 2006-7. A fluent Russian speaker, Chris has also regularly contributed articles to both Russian and international business publications. Now based in London, Chris continues to pursue his various business interests in Russia, travelling frequently to Moscow, St. Petersburg and the country's other major cities. 15 colour photos Full Product DetailsAuthor: Chris GilbertPublisher: Stacey International Imprint: Gorilla Guides ISBN: 9780955944727ISBN 10: 0955944724 Pages: 224 Publication Date: 07 April 2009 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: No Longer Our Product Availability: Out of stock ![]() The supplier is temporarily out of stock of this item.
