OverviewFor four years, Cabby has lived on the street, scrounging for discarded food, begging for change and trying to survive in a hostile world. A bad marriage and a series of bad decisions landed him there. It's a tough but mostly low-key existence until he witnesses a crime. Then he becomes a reluctant player in an ongoing tragedy. He doesn't trust the cops or anyone who tries to help him. He is stuck between the good guys and the bad guys, constantly on the move to stay out of harm's way. His daily struggles for survival--food, shelter, safety--are compromised by people making demands on him. Good Samaritans offer him help but his innate distrust of people prevents him from reintegrating into society. Events, like his life, spiral out of his control, forcing him to take drastic action. In the end, he is alone and must go down a path of no return.
