DAVID HOBBS served 33 years as a RN pilot, and since retirement he has spent a period as Curator of the Fleet Air Arm Museum and become the author of many highly regarded books, including _A Century of Naval Aviation_ (2009), _The British Pacific Fleet_ (2011), the bestselling _British Aircraft Carriers_ (2013) and _The Dawn of Carrier Strike_ (2019)
