Author Information

Laura Rainone Trombino is a creative writer who has written poems and stories all during her life. She told her own children this story and they always remembered it fondly. Laura was the youngest of 10 children, is a mom to three, a Grandmother of three and a Great Grandmother of three, (soon to be four). Laura was born during the Depression in Canarsie, Brooklyn and moved to Rockville Centre, NY, with her husband Carl and young son Joseph, around 1952. She then had two more children; Laura and Carlo Jr. She still lives there today! All her family visit her for dinner at least once a week. She is a great cook and teacher. Laura also owned her own Realty for many years. She is the favorite aunt in the family and her hospitality and open door policy for family and friends is legendary.
