Using paints that she makes by hand, with the rocks and soil that she collects from her mountain home, her paintings reflect her love of the place she calls home. Every rock, tree, mountain, lake, and stream, and the ecosystem surrounding them, is important. She loves getting to know these places. Her studio smells like the earth after a rain and is filled with curiosities: deer sheds, moths, dried mushrooms, eggs, feathers, and of course, rocks.
