The Boy with Antsy Shoulders

Overview

The Boy With Antsy Shoulders is a semi-autobiographical story from an author who grew up with an unrealized diagnosis of mixed, mild Cerebral Palsy. It is intended to be ready to children and by children, and to make children curious and ask questions. This book also deals with self-esteem and assumed rules of society that are deemed true such as the social model of disability.. It is about the individual magic that each child has, the unique dance that only they can bring to the world.

Author Information

Ethan Rogers has been a reader and writer his whole life. Now he has moved on to publishing his writings. His reading habits have recently changed with getting back into print media and reading to his new child. He loves the works of Poe and other American authors but his inspiration comes from the likes of CS Lewis, AA Milne, and Rick Riordan. Hi, I'm Chris. I'm an illustrator and book designer. I had a lot of fun working with Ethan to come up with all the pictures for the story. My favorite part was drawing a boy with wings who could fly! Where I live in Oregon, I see wild ducks when I go Kayaking on the lake. It always reminds me of The Boy With Antsy Shoulders!
