Overview

The Box of Life offers a unique approach to living a purposeful life for individuals of all ages. Inspired by an intergenerational friendship with her friend Charles, Orit Ramler developed a philosophy and methodology for creating a Box of Life--a collection of curated remembrances that reflect the richness of lived experiences. Through exploring Charles's life story, coaching others, and creating her own Box of Life, Orit developed a series of questions to help readers curate meaning in their lives, connect with their true selves, and leave a lasting legacy. She invites readers to answer the following: Who am I? How am I living my life? What is most important to me? How do I want to be remembered? What do I want to pass on to future generations? The Box of Life is not just a guide to the collection of memories but also a way to ground oneself in purpose. By exploring the highs, lows, pivotal moments, and essential relationships that shape our experiences, readers can create a legacy that reflects their life narrative and inspires others to do the same. Inspiring and full of practical advice, this book will help you uncover the rich tapestry of your life and create a Box of Life that represents your unique story.

If you're looking for a way to lead an authentic life with a profound impact, this book is a must-read.""--Dr. Marshall Goldsmith, Thinkers50 #1 executive coach and New York Times bestselling author of The Earned Life, Triggers, and What Got You Here Won't Get You There ""Orit Ramler is a gem! This world-class executive and leadership coach has applied her insight, experience, and skills to the personal domain of how we live our lives and capture our essence. This practical book offers an approach that can be truly transformational. We often do not realize what we have or what we have done until we take the time to collect what matters to us and what we have experienced--both positive and negative--by reflecting on our own experiences and our ability to positively affect others. Filled with examples, compassion, and humanity, The Box of Life guides us to think more deeply about our life. But rather than waiting until the end of life to reflect on and appreciate what is important, this book helps us to start now and be more intentional about what we do and what we leave as our legacy. This is a book everyone should read and take to heart.""--Sim B. Sitkin, the Michael W. Krzyzewski University distinguished professor in Leadership at Duke University, copresident of the Behavioral Science and Policy Association, president of Delta Leadership, editor of The Routledge Companion to Trust, and coeditor of Organizational Control and The Six Domains of Leadership ""Replete with heartwarming stories, inspirational ideas, and practical advice, this book will invite you to reflect on--and preserve--what matters most in your life."" --Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, founder of the Happiness Studies Academy and New York Times bestselling author of Happier ""This book is filled with inspiration, depth, and magic, and reminds each of us that we are filled with inspiration, depth, and magic, too. Perhaps one that captures your life, your memories, your stories, your questions. Orit Ramler's vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and compassionate coaching skills shine throughout this jewel of a book, as she shares stories, raises questions, and helps us consider what matters to each of us as we create, layer by layer, our own deeply meaningful boxes of life."" --Betsy Polk Joseph, coauthor of Power through Partnership: How Women Lead Better Together"
