Overview

The Book of Revelation is a wonderful way to learn the outcome of things that began in Genesis. All that began in the book of beginnings (Genesis) is consummated in the book of Revelation: Everything that was lost in the book of Genesis is restored in the book of Revelation. For example, in the book of Genesis came the curse, death and Paradise lost. In the Book of Revelation, there will be no more curses and no more death. The tree of life will be restored, and Paradise regained. In Genesis, heaven and earth were created. In Revelation, we see a new heaven and a new earth. In Genesis, the sun and moon appear. In Revelation, we read that there is no need for the sun or moon, for Christ is the light of the new heaven. In Genesis, there is a Garden. In Revelation, there is a Holy City. In Genesis, there is the marriage of the first Adam. In Revelation, we have the marriage supper of the second Adam, Jesus Christ. In Genesis, we see the beginning of sin. In Revelation, sin is done away. In Genesis, Satan appears as a deceiver, bringing pain and sorrow. In Revelation, he completely disappears as a result of his doom and destruction. In Genesis, we have man's beginning in a beautiful paradise - the Garden of Eden. In Revelation, we see the wonderful Paradise to come. In Genesis, man lost his chance to eat of the Tree of life (Gen. 3:2). In Revelation, man will continually eat of the Tree of Life (Rev. 22:2).
