The Author: Beth LaNeel Tanner is Assistant Professor of Old Testament at New Brunswick Theological Seminary and chairs the Book of Psalms Section in the Society of Biblical Literature. She received her Ph.D. in Bible from Princeton Theological Seminary. She has presented numerous papers on studies in biblical literature and has authored two articles on lament psalms.
