Overview

"The Book of Mormon contains multiple insights, but rising to the top are three main intrinsic messages that are directed to three specific groups of people. First and foremost is the ""Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ."" The second message found from beginning to the end is recorded in the Doctrine and Covenants as a: ""Record of a Fallen People."" The third and final intrinsic message repeated throughout the text is connected to the land of promise and the freedoms that have been placed upon that land ""by the power of the Father"" and an ""Everlasting Decree"" of God. The Book of Mormon contains the three intrinsic messages that have been written by inspired prophets and included under the direction of God, for the Latter-day reader. The Gospel of Jesus ChristA Record of a Fallen PeopleThe Deed Restrictions of the Promised LandThe Book of Mormon is a prophetic record of four migrations led by the Lord to the same promised land: the Jaredites, the Mulekites, the Lehites, and the future Gentiles. It is to this fourth group that the record was compiled and written by the last prophets of the Nephite civilization. When Mormon and his son Moroni finished the abridgment and record there was no one left from their time or culture to read their words and works. This record was written and hidden up specifically for the remnant who would remain, and for the ""Gentiles"" who wold come ""out of captivity"" to the promised land as prophesied by the authors and compilers of the record. The Book of Mormon may be viewed as prophetic history of an ancient people. However, when understood, this sacred text becomes a warning that this record of a fallen people might become a historical prophecy of future generations. The demise of the Jaredite and Nephite cultures are directly connected to the 'deed restrictions' of the promised land. The restrictions and stipulations are placed upon all those who live upon the land of promise as the prophecies of freedom and liberty or destruction and captivity are directly connected to the land itself and the Everlasting Decree of God."
