Overview

The story of Noah and his sons has everything, alcohol, nakedness (possibly sexual), anger, rage, a weird cast of characters, envy, gossip, secret and overt hatreds, devious scheming involving family alliances, and a silent God, who seems to 'not care less' how and why we talk to each other. What possible lessons might be drawn from this text to our homes, communities, and bodies politic? It was the pre-television era 'manufactured drama' show like 'Survivor' or even 'Squid Games' showing the devious means, mechanics, and machinations we employ to swindle one another, even those closest to us and that presumably we love the most. From the dawn of man the swindle, the hustle, the deal, the play, becomes its own rereward, intent and spirit notwithstanding.
