Overview

Bonaventure Lenten challenge is a booklet that seeks to journey with the faithful during the season of Lent. It is a collective authorship from priests and religious within and outside the Archdiocese of Accra. This is the third edition and in each edition we seek to relive the scripture experience of our fathers of faith. We take the story of a biblical character and journey with him throughout lent as we allow his or her experience to instruct us and guide us in the Lenten journey. This year, we journey with Tobit, a righteous man who even in exile never abandoned faith. Each character in this story has something to tell us: Tobit about righteousness, Tobias about our faith journey, Azariah (angel Raphael) about the providence or God, Sarah about breaking bondages etc. At the end of each reflection we invite each one to undertake a spiritual exercise that will draw us closer to our goal which is, an intimate encounter with God.
