Author Information

Born and brought up in Edinburgh, Tom Wood was a long-serving and decorated senior officer of the Scottish Police Service and, now retired, is a member of the Edinburgh Lothian and Borders Police Historical Society. He has previously published three true crime books, including The Worlds End Murders: The Inside Story and the best-selling Ruxton: The First Modern Murder, which was shortlisted for the 2021 Scottish National Book Awards. He is a regular columnist with The Scotsman Newspaper and writes extensively on crime and justice.
