OverviewBoth religion and science teach us that we are all connected. Every wave, every particle, atom, molecule - each has some impact on the other no matter how subtle. Nothing that I do is ever lost. Like the proverbial pebble thrown into the water, the ripples go out forever. While diversity is the name of the human game, how we play it out is of great consequence. The desire to be free is part of the natural state of human beings. We struggle to be free of anything that shackles us, that limits us, that causes us not to use our full capacity. The unshackling of the individual conscience along with its derivative, freedom of religion, is a theme that informs so much of the history of the United States of America. Indeed, the evolution of religious freedom in America is a thread that runs through the entire history of the nation even up to the present day. It is a story that is still unfolding. It is an evolution that is not complete, and as long as there are doctrinaire voices that claim that they alone have the truth, the struggle will go on.
